traditional stone and slate barn

Swallows Rest is a recently converted traditional stone and slate barn, that has been sympathetically restored into a comfortable, homely and peaceful retreat for couples or a small family alike. There is a private patio and hot tub where you can sit and take in the wide country views during the day or look up at night, into total darkness and watch the stars!
Regardless of whether you are looking to stay for a short or long break, you’ll have everything you need at Swallows Rest. We offer 7 night breaks arriving on a Saturday during the Summer and peak times and shorter breaks with a minimum of 3 night stays, arriving on any day of the week, during quieter off peak months. We are also open for Christmas and New Year, where the cottage is beautifully decorated to welcome you for your festive celebrations.

The Views

The views from the cottage across the countryside are truly spectacular with amazing sunsets in the evening – dispelling the myth that it always rains in Wales! You can catch glimpses of our amazing wildlife, from soaring red kites and buzzards in the air to wild foxes and hares on the ground. If you miss out on the wildlife, don’t worry, our own domestic animals will keep you amused, as you’ll be part of our 25 acre small holding.
Perfectly located 3 miles outside the market town of Lampeter, the birthplace of Welsh rugby, the hardest decisions you’ll have to make is whether to leave the cottage at all or which direction to head off so you can explore the vast amount of what the area has to offer.

There will be a very warm Welsh welcome for you, whichever you decide.
